Lucid Air 12V Battery Testing, Maintenance and Repair
Battery testers are an inexpensive way to save yourself time in repairing your Lucid Air. A healthy 12V battery will read between 12.6 and 12.8 volts when tested. Anything lower, and you may want to consider replacing your batteries or checking the battery fluid levels.
How to charge the Lucid Air 12V battery
You can charge the Lucid Air with a normal 12V charger. If you remove the passenger wheel liner, you’ll notice wires with leads that are stowed away in a compartment, to which you can clamp the positive (+) and negative (-) cables.

Jump starting a Lucid Air
There are convenient terminals to connect the positive and negative battery cables, which will be marked accordingly. Hook the positive up to the vehicle with the dead battery first, then to the vehicle you are jumping from.
Something to keep in mind: Traditional jumper cables are typically designed to handle the high amperage load of a starter motor. However, in the case of a hybrid vehicle, you are only attempting to power the 12-volt bus and therefore do not require such heavy-duty cables. It is recommended to use cables with a gauge size no larger than 14 – small motorcycle battery clamps should be sufficient.

Lucid Air Key Fob Battery Draining Quickly
Some owners have complained that the the Lucid Air fob battery is draining to quickly. It is speculated that when the key fob is within range of your car, the battery is more likely to drain. If you leave your fobs near the car or by the garage doors or entrance doors which are within distance of the car, this may expedite the draining of the key fob battery.
Unlock the Lucid Air with a Dead Key Fob
You can still get into the Lucid Air with a dead key fob. All you need to do is hold the dead key fob near the driver’s side center pillar, similar to how you would work the valet card. Or you can use your smartphone as a mobile key. The car may not automatically unlock as you approach, but at least you can still get in.
