Chrysler Aspen Hybrid Drivetrain
This Chrysler Aspen Hybrid and the Dodge Durango Hybrid used the GM-designed two-stage hybrid system and added two 87 hp electric motors to the 5.7L V8 with a total system output of around 385 horsepower.
All Durango and Aspen hybrids came standard with 4-wheel drive and regenerative braking.
The Aspen and Durango Hybrids can shut down the gas engine at low speeds and can drive on electric power only, in this case at speeds up to 25 mph.
